Joshua Dyer
Author

Enriching life one story at a time.

If my writing aims to accomplish anything, it's to enhance the way in which we see and feel the world, the universe around us.

Joshua Dyer writes speculative fiction, westerns, and horror in both novel form and short stories. His stories have earned national and international recongnition in competitions, and have appeared in anthologies and journals.

As J. E. Dyer, he writes historical fiction, romance, and literary fiction works. His novels have won national awards and made the short list for Chanticleer's Van Goethe Award for best historical fiction novel.

ABOUT JOSHUA (J. E.) DYER
Joshua Dyer was born and raised in Lost Creek, West Virginia. He attended West Virginia University, earning a B.F.A. in 1999 with an emphasis in world percussion. Dyer went on to earn a second B.S.  degree in Recording Industries from Middle Tennessee State University in 2002. After a five-year stint in the music business in Nashville, Tennessee, he returned to his native home of West Virginia. Here he has re-invented himself as an author and novelist.
Today, Dyer serves as a professional linguist where he's been for the last sixteen years. His constant interaction with and study of various languages and cultures suffues into the chatacters and worlds he creates.

When he's not reading or writing, Dyer enjoys playing board games with his wife and kids, yelling at his favorite sports teams (WVU and the Steelers), cooking, and sketching.
